Paddy’s Bio


Born in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, Paddy began her hockey journey by competing in adult men’s Leagues. At the age of 13, she made and played for the Swiss National Team.

Following her youth hockey, Paddy brought her talents to the NCAA Div. I, University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs, capturing multiple NCAA National Championships as the top women’s team in the Nation. She also continued playing in various World Championships and International Tournaments all over the world with Team Switzerland. In 2006, Team Switzerland qualified, for the first time ever, to compete in the Olympic Games in Torino, Italy. This is one of her career highlights, amongst others, including; a gold medal at the World Championships, 3rd place at the European Championship, multiple All-Star Team honors, and representing her country over 250 times.

Paddy began her coaching career at UMD with a coaching minor, which led her to coach the Roseau Rams girl’s high school team for 5 seasons. In 2008, they placed third at the MN State Girls High School Tournament, and their starting goalie was named to the all-tournament team. During the same year, Paddy was invited to coach the Swiss National Team at the World Championships in Beijing, China.

After moving back to the Duluth area, Paddy was an assistant coach with the College of St. Scholastica for 5 seasons. Coaching with the Cloquet-Esko-Carlton girls’ high school team as an assistant/goalie coach, as well as multiple youth teams within the CEC Organization and the CEC Board. Paddy has been a regular with Minnesota Goalie Camps, working alongside Dave Peterson, and has been a part of the CCM HP 15U program. She is a USA Hockey Level 4 certified coach and is involved with USA Hockey’s development team as a GL (Goalie Development Leader). During the upcoming season she will lead the Rock Ridge Wolverines as the Head Coach of the Girls high school team
